Leticia Lopez Honey Process- Honduras
One of our direct trade offerings from Finca la Única, sister farm of Finca Terrerito in the Cartagua Copan region of Honduras. Leticia Lopez bought the land in 2016 and has transformed it into a 50-acre farm that is home to rare micro-lots, like this coffee which we’ve stocked as both a natural process option and now this beautiful honey process offering. Leticia is a 5th generation coffee farmer and is proud to set an example as a woman farm owner in an industry typically dominated by men in Honduras.
The Specs:
Region: Cartagua Copan
Producer: Leticia Lopez / Finca la Unica
Varietal: Parainema/Catuai
Elevation: 1400 MASL
Certifications: USDA Organic, Fair Trade, Con Manos de Mujer, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ Cert
We Taste: dark chocolate, grapefruit, walnut, low acidity
This coffee is a super palatable cup with medium body and a silky mouth feel. It’s well-balanced with rich dark chocolate, walnut and grapefruit notes. Despite its citrus flavor, the brew has lower acidity which we love. We brew this out of a V60 pour-over at home and recommend drinking it black and slightly cooled after brewing.
10 oz bag
whole bean coffee
medium/light roast level
