Leticia Lopez bought the land in 2016 and has transformed it into a 50-acre farm that is home to rare micro-lots, like this coffee which we’ve stocked as both a natural process option and now this beautiful honey process offering. Leticia is a 5th generation coffee farmer and is proud to set an example as a woman farm owner in an industry typically dominated by men in Honduras.

The Specs:

  • Region: Cartagua Copan

  • Producer: Leticia Lopez / Finca la Unica

  • Varietal: Parainema/Catuai

  • Certifications: USDA Organic, Fair Trade, Con Manos de Mujer, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ Cert

  • We Taste: dark chocolate, grapefruit, walnut, low acidity

This coffee is a super palatable cup with medium body and a silky mouth feel. It’s well-balanced with rich dark chocolate, walnut and grapefruit notes. Despite its citrus flavor, the brew has lower acidity which we love. We brew this out of a V60 pour-over at home and recommend drinking it black and slightly cooled after brewing.
