Leticia Lopez Natural Process - Honduras
We are thrilled to bring back this direct trade offering from Finca la Única, sister farm of Finca Terrerito in the Cartagua Copan region of Honduras. Leticia Lopez bought the land in 2016 and has transformed it into a 50-acre farm that is home to rare micro-lots, like this beautiful naturally processed coffee. Leticia is a 5th generation coffee farmer and is proud to set an example as a woman farm owner in an industry typically dominated by men in Honduras.
The Specs:
Region: Cartagua Copan
Producer: Leticia Lopez / Finca la Unica
Varietal: Parainema/Catuai
Elevation: 1400 MASL
Certifications: USDA Organic, Bird Friendly, Fair Trade, Con Manos de Mujer, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ Cert
We Taste: peach, chocolate, Marranitos, clean mouth feel, low acidity
We fell in love with this coffee when we tried it. The cup has an amazing fruit-forward aroma that speaks to its natural processing. It’s a well-balanced brew with notes of peach, chocolate, and Marranitos, those amazingly soft gingerbread pigs you get at the Panadería. It has mild lemon acidity and a clean mouth feel. We brew this out of a V60 pour-over at home and recommend drinking it black, slightly cooled after brewing, and maybe alongside one of those ginger piggies… but you do you.
10 oz bag
whole bean coffee
medium/light roast level
